Why We Eat

 Throughout my pregnancy with Laurel (2017-2018), The Word taught me Himself about authority of the body, His protection and nourishment of the physical body, and how that confidence transforms the way we eat, move and carry our being (and the beings within our body). Having spent the whole pregnancy planting seeds, believing in the power of His unseen work, the postpartum time was received differently--noticing the realities of Truth embedded in the trust, receive, nourish, rest pattern of the mother/baby relationship. 

This is not a book about food, not merely to increase understanding of how to identify what is good to eat (though His Word to me increased this discernment drastically!), but to identify the patterns of His Word, Authored into food and the body, so that His people would hunger more for The Word and become fully nourished and naturally fruitful on every level-spirit, mind and body. We and our food are living parables.

This book is for those who desire to increase their faith in the Word and develop an intimate, exclusive covenant relationship with Him and receive the complete shalom and care that exclusive trust provides.

Legalism

Have we inherited a false definition of legalism? When Abba says to His people: "I want to bless you with long life and health, therefore do this" --and they honor that Word, is it legalism, or wisdom and reciprocal love to obey? Yesterday, The Word nourished me deeply by rendering several things that I've been ruminating! Many streams of hearing The Word keep repeating one Word: know I was encouraged by a faithful teacher to simply read the Torah. Every king in ancient Israel was commanded to make their own copy, that they would learn to fear YHWH . As I began in Genesis yesterday, it came to my mind that Abram knew  YHWH, he was familiar with Him already, so he approached Him by name when he approached the three men!  Yesterday, as Drew left for work, he reminded our daughter to care for one of our ewes that seems to be ailing somewhat. The day was full of excitement, and so it was, that it was late afternoon when I asked if she had completed her father's instruction. She said "no, I forgot". I related it to The Word, how we can make excuses about life being busy and full, and we forget to obey our Father.
